Job Description:

The Course Co-ordinator will support the day-to-day business of the charity, in particular those elements relating to our specialist courses, and the children and families with whom we work. They will work alongside the CEO & Artistic Director, as well as our team of theatre professionals, who mentor children, enabling them to write plays, to be performed by professional actors. The role will give both practical and administrative support to the CEO & Artistic Director (AD) in the delivery of the courses and to the Office Manager (OM) and Head of Development (HOD).  The role is managed by the CEO & Artistic Director.

 

Course Duties – support all elements of every course:

 

  • Attend all classes (evenings), writing weekends, rehearsals and performances
  • Escort children to and from class, rehearsal and production when required
  • Build relationships with families. Hand-deliver letters, communication with children etc.
  • Help organise theatre trips and attend where necessary
  • Responsible for taking, filing, naming and printing photographs for all events
  • Responsible for social media updates for all things course related

 

Administrative Support for CEO & Artistic Director:

 

  • Support recruitment of children and volunteers for courses
  • Regular updates and preparation of all course materials
  • Formatting and filing of scripts
  • Prepare for writing weekends, organising equipment
  • Post-production administration and evaluation

 

General Administrative Support:

 

  • Support administration in day-to-day office tasks, mailings etc.
  • Assist OM in stock taking and re-ordering merchandise
  • Effective written and verbal communications, both internally and externally

 

IT/Database/Social Media:

 

  • Regular updates of the database of volunteers & supporters
  • Assist with development of new CRM
  • Update and maintain children’s database including ‘where are they now’
  • Contribute to social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)

 

Production:

 

  • Production Assistant supporting Stage Management and Technical teams
  • Assist with show mail outs
  • Support box office, Front of House and Merchandise sales
  • Assist Head of Development with hospitality for pre & post show events
  • Assist in post-show get outs

 

Fundraising (support for Head of Development):

 

  • Assist on all VIP & E&E mailings
  • Assist on all in-house fundraising events

 

Miscellaneous:

 

  • Attend training as required
  • Work in line with the organisation’s ethos and all written policies and procedures, which will be provided

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000
