Islington Play Association is a vibrant, proactive children’s charity. Our aim is simple – to create, provide, improve and protect places for the children of Islington to play.

Play is what children do when they are allowed freedom to explore their world. Our playgrounds are unique exciting places where no two days are the same. Expect to be amazed and inspired by the depth and breadth of the innovative and original ideas of children at play.

We are a highly respected organisation in the world of play delivering excellent, high quality services making a real difference for the children of Islington. We run six adventure playgrounds, including one specifically designed for disabled children, Paradise Park Children’s Centre and a range of other play focused projects across the borough. Our aim is to continue to expand our services and to ensure that we have a wide ranging offer for the children, young people and families in Islington.

In a time of reducing budgets and increasing need, we are looking for a Development Manager who can tell our stories, galvanise support and find new ways to fund more play.

As part of the senior team, you will develop and deliver our income strategy with support from a passionate trustee and staff team. You will be creative, tenacious, and an outstanding communicator with a successful track record in diversifying and growing income.
