Job Description:

Main duties:



  • Identify and research Trusts & Foundations with relevant grant giving guidelines, and make recommendations for approaching them
  • Identify and research high profile individuals known in the public domain with a connection to dementia, and make GDRP compliant recommendations for making approaches
  • Identify and research companies whose Corporate Social Responsibility guidelines may include carers, and make recommendations for approaching them
  • Research people whose past connections with the RSAS has been lost, and aim to re-establish contact


2) Digital Development


  • Contribute in the development of a multichannel Digital Fundraising Plan
  • Create and manage digital fundraising platforms including Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook, text, email, and
  • Produce and publish integrated fundraising content such as updates, news, case stories, quotes, and films for digital fundraising platforms
  • Help develop and launch a digital fundraising campaign
  • Utilise mobile and online tools and applications, including Google Ad Grants for Charities, to maximise content impact and funding
  • Recruit supporters digitally


3) General 

  • Manage and keep updated the fundraising online platforms and database (we are currently in the process of buying our first database)
  • Furnish the Director’s meetings and events
  • Act as the secretary to the Development Committee
  • Fulfil all administrative tasks related to core duties


Knowledge and Experience:



  • At least 2 years’ experience in prospect research and planning in the non-for-profit sector
  • At least 3 years’ experience in digital fundraising content development and campaign
  • Sound understanding of fundraising methods and practices
  • Experience in taking minutes and producing briefs
  • Good understanding of and a commitment to Equality and Diversity
  • Good understanding of and compliance with GDRP



  • Knowledge of dementia
  • Previous working experience in the healthcare sector





  • Educated to the degree level



  • Fundraising, research and/or digital content development qualification


–      Able to carry out detailed research and produce in-depth reports and briefs

–      Good interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships

–      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

–      Competent in all Microsoft applications and online tools for charity fundraising

–      Skilful in digital communications and content development

–      Excellent organisational and planning skills



Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
