Kidney Research UK is the leading charity dedicated to research into kidney disease in the UK, with the aim of finding better treatments and ultimately cures for kidney diseases. Our vision is ‘Lives free from kidney disease’.
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a biological science based Degree to join our Research Operations team. It’s an exciting time for the charity as our research funding has substantially increased over the last three years allowing us to support more vital research.
Reporting to the Director or Research Operations, you will provide the internal project management on a number of high-level research projects. In addition you will arrange and attend meetings as well as providing secretariat for two key committees. Another key part of the role is to lead in the assessment of impact and evaluation of output/outcomes from completed research activities, in liaison with the Head of Insight. You will also support the delivery of the grants application, review and award process and assisting with ad-hoc grant competitions.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Scientific or academic experience within research
- Strong project management skills
- Degree – biological science based
- Good understanding of Scientific / Technical language
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with clear attention to detail
Ideally you will have laboratory or other research experience or have worked in Grant Giving and/or the Charity or NGO sector.
