Scott is a young man in his mid 20s. He has a learning difficulty, is on the autistic spectrum, and has mental health issues. This can sometimes cause Scott to display behaviours that can be difficult to understand.  He is a very able young man but requires lots of encouragement to participate in daily living tasks; staff are required to take a lead in instigating all aspects of this young man’s life.  He is a delightful young man and likes to engage with staff in having a laugh and a joke, He likes things to be done in a very routine manner, and he likes his living environment to be quiet and calm. We are looking for people to support him to maintain this lifestyle. Do you have the values, care and compassion to support Scott?

Scott will be looking to move to a more appropriate sized flat in the near future and will require his staff team to support him with every step of this transition, including developing and maintaining relationships with multi agency workers.

Could you support Scott to live the life he wants?

We believe in a person centred approach, which means we see the person first and ask them what is important in their lives.  It is important for all people to have choice and control over their lives and we support our service users to do this through good life plans.  Ark values the worth of each person, understanding difference and the development of trusting relationships.  These values help us develop as an organisation and we believe it is important our staff share these values.

ARK support people to live good lives, at home and in their community.  We need your skills, knowledge and expertise to make it possible.

Experience is not essential.  We offer a comprehensive induction and training programmes designed to ensure you have all the skills you need for the job.  What’s most important is that you have a passion for making a difference in people’s lives.

Benefits include:
