Ugly Duckling is a recycling/upcycling project which turns unloved furniture into something special. We also make new things from donated wood and take on customer commissions. We are part of Andover Mind and support people with mental ill health, early stage dementia, autism and social isolation. We have a fantastic group of loyal volunteers who help us to run the project and we are now looking to expand our staff team so that Ugly Duckling can continue to grow. This position is new and offers you the opportunity to really make your mark.
The UD project Development Manager will be responsible for implementing the UD business plan which sets out a clear new direction for the project. You will need to be a great communicator, and be able to enthuse, inspire and motivate. You will need to have good organisational skills and be able to manage a budget. An interest in interior design would also be beneficial.
Hours of work: 20 hours per week – days and times to be discussed at interview
Pay rate: £11.50 per hour
Start date: June 2018
