Harrow Carers is a registered charity established in 1996 which supports unpaid carers in Harrow, Middlesex. It is the main organisation in Harrow for carers, providing a wide range of support through services and projects. We are affiliated to Carers Trust and Carers UK.
We are looking for a motivated individual with initiative and compassion to be responsible for the strategic development, management and delivery of Carers’ Centre services to Young Carers’ (YCs) in Harrow.
We are looking for motivated applicants who can provide the service with a clear vision as well as to feel empathy towards the carers you may encounter on a day-to-day basis. Applicants must have experience of financial planning within project management as well as strong communication skills when dealing with our key stakeholders. A good knowledge of MS Office is deemed to be prerequisite too.
The team provides a support system to Young Carers’ within the borough of Harrow. The support system varies from providing school drop-ins, organising holiday activities, to arranging training workshops for young carers to help cope with their dependent’s emotional or physical needs.
In taking up the role of Young Carers’ Manager your responsibility will be multifaceted:
- Managing the efficient and effective day-to-day delivery of Harrow Carers’ services to Young Carers’ and their families in the Harrow borough ensuring that the voice of young carers is core to service provision.
- Produce reports for funders, Trustees and strategic partners as necessary.
- be responsible for monitoring and evaluating all aspects of the organisation’s YCs work including attending regular performance monitoring meetings
- Ensuring the service is adhering to objectives and achieving the measurable targets as laid out in funding contracts
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
