All staff are required to read, understand and accept the Data Protection Policy and procedures that relate to personal data that they may handle. Under no circumstances is individual personal data we may hold e.g. CV’s from candidates, names, addresses, phone numbers or emails shared with any organisation or individual without explicit written permission from the candidate or advertiser.

Data is collected when an individual registers on the site either to place a job ad or upload a CV. We only hold information relavant for the purpose of placing a job ad or applying for a position. We will delete information held on our sytems if requested to do so. UKCharityJobs.com maintains physical and electronic arrangements that comply with EU Data Protection Policies to safeguard the personal information that UKCharityJobs.com holds. UKCharityJobs.com restricts access to personal information to those employees who need to know that information. As far as is reasonably practicable, UKCharityJobs.com ensures that personal information that it holds is accurate and UKCharityJobs.com endeavours to keep such personal information up to date. We will send emails to individuals that have uploaded their CVs every 3 months to ensure information is relavant. If we do not hear back within 14 days we will delete the information we have on that person.
Information that UKCharityJobs.com holds on B2B customers (Advertisers)
We ONLY hold information on people that have registered on the site and provided their details as required. That information is restricted to professional data. i.e. name, address of company or organisation, job title, business email address, phone number. No personal information is asked for or recorded in any format. Electronically this information is on a secure database that also hosts the website. To enable us to market our services to organisations we will download your data to excel files which are securely kept on our cloud based system. No data is held on local hard drives on any device.
We will always provide the information we hold on individuals within 3 days. If you do not wish to be contacted by UKCharityJobs.com we will immediately stop sending you information or contacting you. We will however hold minimal contact information (I.e. Name/email) so we do not unintentionally contact you again. This information will remain secure on cloud based systems. When placing a job ad you will be required to set up a password. We cannot access your passwords, however we advise that you choose a password that is 13 digits long and is not one you use for any other purpose. UKCharityJobs.com advises you allow the system to generically generate a password for you and use that.
We do not buy-in any business lists. We ONLY contact organisations relevant to our field of work and expertise. We will share your information with Abbey Solutions International Limited who owns the site. The same security is in place and the same Privacy policies exist. Abbey Solutions International provides consultancy services to the not for profit sector including bespoke head hunting services.
Information that UKCharityJobs.com holds on B2C customers (Job seekers)
The type of personal information UKCharityJobs.com holds on individuals is information that has been sent to us from the individual. This is usually an applicant sending their CV for a job or requiring support in searching for a job. We know this is highly confidential information and is never shared with any organisation or individual outside the company without written consent from the applicant. People’s personal data is stored ONLY on a secure cloud base system and NOT on computer hard drives. All data is password protected.
If an individual wishes the records we hold on them deleted we will do so within 3 working days and notify them as soon as this has been done. For legal reasons we may have to hold some information on individuals. This is done on a case by case basis and if we do have to hold some information for legal purposes we will inform the person why and for how long. This is the exception not the rule.
If an individual wishes to see what information we hold on them we will share that information within 3 working days.
